What is Competitive Soccer?
Competitive soccer is for players who wish to make a larger commitment, in terms of time, training and quality game play as part of their soccer experience. The program is run year round, and players are selected through try-outs. Participation in Fall and Winter Programming is available and highly encouraged. Competitive teams are formed at the U14-U18 age group, and preparatory Development teams at U8-U13. These teams are members of the Eastern Ontario Soccer League and compete in the Ottawa Region in either the Regional or District level.

2026 Competitive Coaches
For those that participated in the interviews for HC positions, we truly enjoyed discussing the game, your successes, thoughts and experiences around coaching. PMSC is in an excellent position with so many qualified and motivated coaches interested in developing strong, capable players and human beings. We appreciated how all of you identified that as a coach you have so much more to offer in the growth of a player than the fundamental skills of the game. You are all excellent coaches!

Head coaches will be responsible for selecting their Assistant Coaches (AC’s) for the season.
Competitive coaches will have one night/week (minimum) for indoor training with their team over the winter. These training sessions will double as an observation period to allow for team selection in the early Spring. To this effect, players must attend at least 3 of the tryout sessions over the winter to be considered for a competitive team.

Competitive Team 2026 Season Registration
Once you have been selected to be a member of a Competitive Team, you will be required to complete the full competitive registration.
This is done by invitation only.

Registration Fee Estimate
2025 Fees (for Reference Use Only):
Competitive fees this year will be $400/player (U11/U12 Developmental Players) & $425/player (U13+ Competitive Players) which will cover up to 2 field rentals per week from April – October, equipment, league and game fees. In addition, funds will be put aside for an end of season party or memorable event and up to $1000 for teams to participate in tournaments if they choose.
Players are expected to have two sets of uniforms, which run approximately $75 per set.
Uniform/Tracksuit Orders
For players that make a competitive team, two uniform types, gold/red and black/gold are required to play. If you have uniforms from a previous season that still fit, there is no need to order additional uniforms. If you are new to the team or plan to change jersey numbers, you must confirm with your coach that your # works for your team.
For our U9-U12 Developmental Players: Players will require a regular yellow/black PMSC Falcon’s Jersey + black shorts + gold socks. If re-using items from a previous season, please ensure that your player’s jersey # is approved by your player’s coach (is available) for the season. Confirm with your coach you have an approved # before ordering.
Players of Competitive teams may have the option to purchase additional “swag” upon season start.
